1. Mr Sunil Gupta
Curator, Allahabad Museum, to study Mediterranean pottery and other archaeological material relating to the early Indian Ocean trade, at the Universities of Cambridge, London and Southampton;
2. Mr J Raja Mohamad
Curator, Government Museum Pudukkottai, to do research on Indian objects from the Coromandel trade in UK museums;
3 Miss Radhika Sahgal
Conservator, Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, New Delhi, to study and train in conservation of paper and miniature paintings at the V&A and the British Museum;

1. Mr Vikas Dilawari
Architect, Sir JJ College of Architecture, for practical training in the conservation of 19th century Gothic revival buildings, at the V&A, and with !Jniversity architect~ral schools and private practices;
2. Mr Mahendra Singh
Conservator, National Research Laboratory for the Conservation of Cultural Property, for training in the conservation of metals, at the V&A and at the National Museums on Merseyside;
3. Miss Sutapa Sinha
Research scholar, Centre for Archaeological Studies & Training, Calcutta, to study and document Bengal Sultanate coins in the British Museum and the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford;

1. Dr Arati Deshpande Mukherjee
Research student, Deccan College, Pune, for training in scientific techniques for application in archaeological molluscan research, at the University of Cambridge;
2. Mr C T Dorji
Joint Director/Chief Research Officer, National Museum, Paro, Bhutan, for research on textiles, including their proper maintenance and display, in UK museums;
3. Ms Kristine Michael
Ceramic artist and scholar, to research the history of the pioneers of the Indian studio pottery movement, at the V&A and other ceramic centres ~!l the UK;
