The Trust proposes to make two awards to provide the opportunity to citizens of India who are established scholars or professionals working in museums, galleries, or other specified institutions concerned with the preservation, study and display of India's art and cultural heritage, to visit the Victoria and Albert Museum and/or approved associated UK institution for short periods for study, research or the exchange or ideas of mutual professional interest with colleagues in the United Kingdom.

The awards, which will be of a maximum of £1,000, are intended to be held in conjunction with awards from other bodies as a part-cost contribution towards maintenance and/or air fare from and to India, during the period April 2008 and March 2009.

Award holders will be required to submit a report of their visit at the conclusion of the tenure of their award.
